Reiki is a hands-on healing technique developed in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 1920s.
This technique uses Universal Life Force Energy, known as “prana”, to promote healing of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
Prana is believed to be an unlimited form of creative energy that flows through the entire Universe. It is the intelligence that transforms the acorn to the oak tree. When prana is low, you are more likely to experience dis-ease in the body and mind. When prana is high, you are more apt to be vibrant, happy, and healthy.
Laura uses gentle touch to radiate prana into your body, It is known to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, increasing relaxation and reducing stress, which provides an environment for the body return to homeostasis (natural balance). It is not uncommon for clients to fall into a deep meditative state and may even fall asleep during a session.
Jikiden Reiki is especially effective for physical pain, anxiety, depression, menstrual support, chakra clearing, heart and womb reconnection and can deeply support recovering from trauma.
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe to receive Reiki. Reiki is guided by consciousness. As such, it can never do harm. The recipients must simply be willing to receive it.
